As a child being from a family with a strong engineering background, I found myself with a strong interest in understanding how things worked. I found it fascinating finding how something worked and seeing if I could do it better. This is where my interest in construction and technology started, although I knew architecture was my ultimate goal having always had a passion for sketching and design.

 

Studying architectural technology at Nottingham Trent University I was able to nurture my interest in the finer details involved in architecture and expand my knowledge of what really makes a building work. Working for a practice after my degree that took jobs of all shapes and sizes allowed me to appreciate the importance of what it means to be involved in architecture.

 

Having learnt and studied architecture in Nottingham I now find myself in the most exciting stage of my career so far, starting a partnership company in a city that has many great places to study and rich heritage to explore.
