I feel fortunate that from a young age I never had to hesitate when asked “Want to do you want to be when your older?.” There were probably plenty of signals from a young age indicating I would become and architect. On family beach holidays I would take sand castle building far more serious than others, by planning and dedicating roles to others.
Studying at bath and Nottingham I was able to nurture a real interest in detail and hand drawing in architecture, and continue to delight in the creative and considered interaction of materials. One of my main joys in this profession is the experience of working at so many scales, especially the urban scale.
