TDC were keen to expand their design skills and experience, exploring the design of furniture to reflect their ethos: function is beautiful. TDC aimed to create a stylish yet comfortable chair suitable in many environments. Using a polished wooden structure, the cream leather upholstery contrasts with the dark wood. The materials communicate and integrate together to create a striking unique piece of furniture.

The Design Collective were challenged to design an inspiring small space suitable for a number of artists. The brief required provisions of flexible spaces to cater for a variety of artistic activities. To create an inspiring environment TDC focused the design on a tranquil view over Norfolk’s Mid-Yare National Nature Reserve. To maximise northern light, ideal for an artist studio, a large glass panel has been designed and orientated accordingly.
