The Collective Gallery
The Design Collective occupies a flexible gallery space situated next to our practice in Nottingham’s Lace Market. Our gallery provides the public with an insight into our design interests and styles, exhibiting a variety of work from TDC practice, selected designers and Nottingham Trent University.
TDC: 'The Sustainable Housing Project' 5th January 2020 - 5th June 2020 The sustainable housing project in Nottingham was TDC’s first project as a collective. TDC ensured building Energy Management Systems in each of the homes were fitted to ensure that residents are supported to adapt their energy usage and behaviour. It was the completion of this project that has given TDC to strive to aim big and have a big influence on design.
Just Sit Furniture: ‘Functional Furniture’ 5th January 2020 – 5th February 2020 The chair is based on the shapes of seats in car. A low seat surrounded by a metal pipe frame forms the construction of the furniture. The armchair is available in nine colours, upholstered in perforated leather or fabric.
Nottingham Trent University 3rd Year Degree Show: ‘Top 10 Selected’ 13th July – 13th August 2020 TDC are pleased to announce the new exciting exhibition of third year architectural work as a follow up to Nottingham Trent University’s final degree show. Ten of the students work will be showcased in our gallery space for one month in the summer.
